Description

A young man raced through the woods after hearing a pained screech from a woman split in the still air. He felt his heart boil in fear as he recognized who of which the scream have come from though he prayed this wasn't true. It possibly couldn't be. He'd find out it was a random merchant passing by who was attacked by a creature lurking in the woods and then when he got home he'd find his fiancee sitting in the house waiting for his arrival. But something deep inside him knew he was spoon feeding himself lies merely to cover up what he knew to be so true. Alas he found the source of the scream, it was from a little elf girl who lay motionless on the ground before him laying in her blood which the grass below her absorbed the crimson fiber that was secreted out of her wounds. At the very moment he rested his eyes on her his entire body was frozen in attempt to process the very scene of the crime. A soft cough from the girl broke him out of his trans, then from that instant he was able to hurry to her side ever so genitally lifting her up so he could once again gaze into her beautiful face.

"Scynthyche?" he choked out from within his throat.

With a gentle smile upon seeing him she said,"I knew you'd come." Though her voice was weak and she gargled on her own blood as she spoke.

This caused his heart to twist in the most unbelievable ways causing pain to rise in him. Tears swarmed his eyes instantly streaming down his face thus dripping onto Scynthyche's blood tained clothes.

"I wasn't here f-fast enough," he squeaked.

She rose her hands to try and wipe his tears but as she did so her hand went limp and in that instant he gripped her hand tightly. Scynthyche gripped part of his vest with what energy she had left.

"Saito... I--I want you to know that I love you. And even though i-it seems I'll die here--," she started pausing to catch her breath as tears began to rise within her own deep gray blue gaze."I want you to remember that I loved you. From the moment I met you to this very second. M--My heart beats at this moment only to let you know---."

Saito cuts her off,"Shut up! Stop it... You can't die here. You mean far to much to me that this shouldn't be possible til after we are old as dirt!"

He pulled Scynthyche closer to cry into her breast attempting to savor the last warm and beat of her heart he could. Saito felt as if there was a scream of rage and pain crawling its way up his throat.

Synthyche closed her eyes and with her last breath she said,"I love you, Saito."

Saito lifted his head in a quick flick of his neck to look at her as he realized her chest no longer rose. He stared at her expecting her gorgeous eyes to reopen, yet nothing happened.

"I love you too," Saito said with a small pause."Scynthyche."

With that he sat and wept into her dead body overwhelmed by emotions that formed in the very cavity of his chest.
